When the year began, no one could have predicted the way it has turned out. From the widespread impact of the coronavirus pandemic to social unrest throughout the country, 2020 was certainly full of challenges. However, times of uncertainty also provide an opportunity to develop creative solutions, adapt to change and deepen relationships.
With Thanksgiving and the holiday season approaching, we have taken stock of the many things for which we are grateful. Read more to learn what some of our agency team members are thankful for as they reflect on the year:
“As a new mom, I’m thankful for the help of close family who have stepped up to care for our baby several times a week – and they’re thankful for it, too! Knowing my son is being lovingly cared for while I’m working gives me peace of mind, while keeping everyone safe and healthy.”
Mia Baker – Senior Director
“During these challenging times, I’m grateful for access to technology that allows me to stay in touch with my friends and family. While video calls can’t ever replace sharing a holiday meal around the same table, they allow us to stay safe and connected.”
M. Douglas Dagan – Director, Public Affairs
“I’ve gained a new appreciation for the things I might have taken for granted in the past and I’m reminded that not everyone is as fortunate. I am grateful to have my immediate family in my ‘bubble’ so we can safely spend the holidays together, and of course living where I can take my dog on long walks in the fresh air.”
Martha DeFrancisco – Senior Graphic Designer
“I am thankful for the closer relationships developed among my siblings and cousins, who are spread out across the country. With more time at home and fewer distractions, we now have regular virtual game nights and check ins. We’re connecting in new and different ways that I know will continue long beyond the pandemic.”
Kathy Sosa – Manager, Public Affairs
“As a new member of the bmgstrategies team, I am thankful for the opportunity to join the agency and for the warm welcome I received. Even with an all-virtual workplace, I felt at home right away, and I’ve enjoyed jumping right in on meaningful projects and interacting regularly with clients and other team members.”
Sarah Moloney – Manager, Public Affairs
Best wishes from the bmgstrategies team for a safe and healthy holiday season.
